Oakland Raiders Trade Rumors: Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Mike Wallace, Vincent Jackson Options After 2014 Season?

The Oakland Raiders have had a very tough season and in the future, the team may consider a trade for Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Mike Wallace or Vincent Jackson after the 2014 season is over, as Reggie McKenzie may have to make a last ditch effort to save his job.

Over the past few years all of those players have come up in some trade rumors and those have mostly been about money. Fitzgerald has huge cap numbers coming up and with the Cardinals putting 11 free agents on the market, some of whom they need to re-sign, they could consider a move. Jackson came up this year because of how bad the Bucs have been, while Johnson has been unhappy in Houston for the past year and he could get moved. Wallace has also been critical at times of the Dolphins and his big money deal also could be moved.

Obviously those trades would take some maneuvering, but right now the Raiders are a mess and apart from some names like Derek Carr, Khalil Mack and Mychal Rivera, the status of players on the roster is totally up in the air. If Reggie McKenzie keeps his job, and that is a big if, he will need to make some big moves and one of those names could be it. The team will have some cap space and some money to spend and if they see an opening, they could make a trade with some of the draft picks they have stockpiled.

The Raiders have played badly and while they came in with some expectations of improving, things have not gone that way. Blowing everything up could be the next step, but for Reggie McKenzie, he may have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to get things on track. The team fired Dennis Allen and will need a new head coach and McKenzie may get some leeway after drafting Derek Carr. While he hasn't been amazing, Carr has been very solid as a starter as a rookie and he has shown potential of being a legit QB.

Andre Johnson is another potential target, as he was mentioned in trade rumors over the summer when he was not present at training camp. According to the Houston Chronicle, Johnson does not sound happy about where his situation is right now and if the Texans falter down the stretch and miss the playoffs against, there could be a split coming. Johnson has been very productive for a receiver his age and he is on pace to catch over 80 balls this season, but that is a sharp drop from the triple digits of the past couple years.

Mike Wallace also came up in trade talk this past offseason and the Dolphins may look at a deal in the future. Wallace has a big contract and while the team loves his big play ability, they could look at moving him down the line if he continues making comments about Ryan Tannehill and the Fins offense.
