The US Basketball team is ready to wrap up their pre-Olympic exhibition games and their last competitors will be Spain.
And Spain's current roster is not one to mess with.
Spain will put Jose Calderon, Marc Gasol, Pau Gasol and Serge Ibaka on the floor.
One immediate danger for the US is the height advantage that Spain has over the American players. Marc is 7' 1", Pau is 7', and Ibaka is 6' 10". The US has players who can defend Ibaka, but what makes him a huge threat is his blocking ability.
Teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will probably stay away from the paint as they witness first hand the wrath of Ibaka's blocks as members of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The US team has been three-point happy in the exhibition games, so much so that their lack of three-point efficiency almost cost the team the game against Argentina.
Ironically, it was Chris Paul's three as the game was winding down to its closing minutes that saved Team US's perfect exhibition record. The final score was 86-80 in favor of Team USA.
After this game, the US will have their mind set on gold as they will face the French team in five days. On July 29th the US officially begins their journey as the defenders of the 2008 gold medal.
