The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts are playing live on the Sunday night football NFL schedule on NBC and the matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium has two division leading teams in the AFC as Andrew Luck and Tom Brady face off and the Pats come into the matchup having won five in a row and they haven't lost since the Monday night game against the Bengals.
The Patriots have been playing very well this season and the offense has been humming along and now they have scored at least 37 points in four of the last five games. The team is averaging 40 points during this winning streak and they look like division winners once again in the AFC East and they have the chance to make a deep run with the way they have been rolling. The team is ranked in the top 10 in passing yards per game this season and coming up they have a tough schedule against teams heading into the playoffs.
The Patriots will have three of the next four on the road and they have playoff teams from last year in those games with the Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers and San Diego Chargers. The team also has a matchup with the strong Detroit Lions and then down the stretch they end the season with three division games against the Dolphins, Jets and Bills. The Colts look like one of the teams to beat and this is a rematch of a playoff game from last year with Luck and Brady facing off.
The Colts come in after a huge game against the Giants and now they are 6-3 on the season and they are ranked first in the league in passing yards per game. The team won five straight before losing to the Steelers and now they come out of the bye week against the Patriots and they have three straight home games and four of the next five in Indy.
Luck has the Jaguars and Redskins next before a matchup with the Cleveland Browns and then the team has the Houston Texans. The team ends the season with two straight road games and those will be against the Cowboys and the Tennessee Titans. The Colts have been playing very well on offense and Luck has been one of the main reasons why and he currently has 3,085 yards and 26 touchdowns this season along with nine picks and is completing over 63 percent of his passes.
Luck has had eight 300-yard games this season and he has now done it in seven straight games and he is looking to add another against the Pats. Luck has nine touchdowns and two picks over the last three games and he passed for 354 yards last week against the Giants after going for 400 yards against the Steelers in the loss against Pittsburgh. Brady has 22 TDs this season and the calls of his demise clearly were too quick after that tough loss to the Chiefs.
