English Premier League Table: Chelsea Leads EPL Standings Over Manchester City, Southampton, Arsenal

The English Premier League table has Chelsea leading the EPL standings heading into the weekend over Southampton, Manchester City, West Ham, Swansea City and Arsenal, while Manchester United, Newcastle, Stoke City, Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham round out the top 12 in the EPL table as the international break ends.

Chelsea has been the best team in the EPL this season and they have a four point lead coming into the weekend. The Blues are leading Southampton and Man City in the top three and they will stay there no matter what happens this weekend. The Blues have 29 points and they have the second best goal differential in the league and they also are the leading team in goals this season.

Chelsea had Diego Costa out for the international games and they were happy about that and now he could be slated to return. Chelsea leads Southampton and Man City is just behind them with four points back of Southampton and eight points back of Chelsea. The Blues have a nice leading heading towards December and if they continue this, they will have a clear shot at winning the title. The EPL was won by Man City last season and now Chelsea has a nice lead and they will try and ride that for the season.

Chelsea has two draws and nine wins this season and they have zero losses and they have been playing very consistently all year. Chelsea is the clear favorite this year and now Man City will try and close the gap. Swansea City is in the top five and they are leading Arsenal by a point and the Gunners are looking to move up. The team finished fourth in the standings last season and the Gunners are expected to be players at the January transfer window.

Man United comes in at seventh and they are tied on points with Newcastle this season. Everton and Liverpool are tied on points with Tottenham and those three teams are looking to get back on track this season. Stoke City is ninth with 15 points and they come in ahead of that trio and they have leads over Sunderland and Hull City. Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Leicester are ahead of QPR and Burnley in the bottom of the standings.

The weekend schedule has Man City taking on Swansea, while Chelsea and West Brom face off at Stamford Bridge. The big match of the weekend has Arsenal hosting Man United, while Tottenham and Hull City will be in action Sunday.
