New York Knicks News: Schedule Released, Jeremy Lin Returns to the Garden in December with the Houston Rockets

Jul 26, 2012 07:57 PM EDT

As you might have already heard, the New York Knicks will open up the 2012-2013 campaign in Brooklyn against the revamped Nets on November 1.

Immediately following that matchup, the Knicks will go from Brooklyn to Madison Square Garden where they will host the 2012 NBA Champion Miami Heat. That matchup will be on November 2.

A month later, on December 6, they will travel to the American Airlines Arena and face off against LeBron and Wade once again. Fans will notice the two parts the Heat added during the offseason. Rashad Lewis and longtime Boston Celtic Ray Allen are now playing in South Beach.

Two weeks later, Linsanity will make his first return to the Garden, no he did not have surgery, he signed a contract with the Houston Rockets. On December 17, the Rockets will square off against the Knicks. It will be interesting to see how fans react to Lin's presence.

A week later on Christmas Day, the Knicks will face another offseason acquisition that slipped through their fingers; Steve Nash, as Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Knicks at the Staples Center.

The Knicks will finally brush paths against Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics on January 7th.

The next significant matchup will be against the Denver Nuggets on March 13. It will basically be former Knicks playing against current Knicks. After getting Carmelo Anthony, the Denver's lineup has been composed of Knick players swapped in the deal.

On April 7, the Knicks will travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder.

After Lil Wayne had issues getting seats there, Spike Lee better work on reserving his section tonight!

Then again, Weezy and Spike Lee don't push the same weight.

Of all these games, you can catch the Nov. 2 Heat game, the Lakers game, Nuggets game and Thunder game on ESPN networks.
