The Arizona Wildcats and San Diego State Aztecs are playing on the EA Sports Maui Invitational schedule on Wednesday night and the game starts at 10 pm ET on ESPN and the WatchESPN website and has the number three team in the nation in action and they are undefeated right now at 5-0 this season.
The Wildcats come in after a win over the Kansas State Wildcats and they have been playing very well to start the season. Arizona is considered to be the best team in the Pac-12 and they are 5-0 this year and they are averaging 75 points per game. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is one of the team leaders in scoring and rebounding and he has been very impressive over the first weeks of the season.
The team has a matchup with a ranked team for the first time this season and they will play against Gonzaga next and then after that the team plays Michigan. That will be a good early matchup and they have some tough games down the stretch this season. The team ends the year with Stanford and they have a game against UCLA over the final month and that will be at home and the team also has matchups with Washington and Arizona State.
The Aztecs are also 5-0 this season and they are the favorites in their conference and they come in averaging just under 70 points per game. The team has opened with seven blocks per game and they are ranked eighth in that and the team also is in the top 30 in steals per game and points allowed per game through five games.
The team next plays against San Diego after the win against Pittsburgh and that came after an overtime win against BYU. The game against Arizona is huge, as it is the only scheduled game against a current ranked team all season.
