The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are playing live on the NFL schedule on Thanksgiving Day and the Week 13 matchup is from AT&T Stadium and starts on FOX at 4:30 pm ET as the NFC East teams play and it has Tony Romo and Mark Sanchez matching up with LeSean McCoy and DeMarco Murray rushing behind them.
The Cowboys look like the best team in the NFC East this season and they have a rough stretch right now, as they played the late game on Sunday night and now are playing on Thursday. The team will not get a long break after this game, as they play against the Chicago Bears next week on Thursday night football after this game against the Eagles. The Cowboys come into the game second in the league in rushing yards per game this season and they are averaging 150 yards per game.
DeMarco Murray is leading the league in rushing this season and he comes in after rushing for 121 yards against the Giants. The Cowboys have won two straight games since losing back to back games against the Cardinals and Redskins, beating the Jaguars and the Giants. The team ends the season with three matchups in the division over the final four weeks, including two games against the Eagles.
The Cowboys play against the Eagles at home before a road trip later in two weeks and between that they will play against the Bears in Chicago. The Cowboys play three of their final four games on the road this season, facing off against the Chicago Bears and Eagles away before playing the Colts at home. The team ends the season with a matchup against the Washington Redskins and depending on the way the season ends, it could be a huge game for the Cowboys to win.
Tony Romo has been having a strong season for the Cowboys, putting up 22 touchdowns and 2519 passing yards this season, while Dez Bryant has been fantastic, snagging 10 touchdowns. First place will be on the line for the Eagles and the Cowboys on Thursday and that makes this matchup very important for both teams. The Eagles are looking to bounce back on the road, as they have now lost three of the last four, but they have played well in Dallas. The team has won three of four on the road and that includes the win last season that sent the team in the playoffs.
Murray has had 10 100-yard games this season rushing the ball and while he has been getting used slightly less than earlier in the season, he is still on pace for a huge year. The Cowboys will be aggressive and the Eagles defense needs to show that it can stop players like Murray and Bryant.
