The North Carolina Tar Heels and Florida Gators are playing in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament at Imperial Arena in Nassau on Friday night in the fifth place game after both teams were upset and now they matchup on the college basketball schedule for the first time since the 2000 NCAA tournament and things start at 8 pm ET on AXS TV.
North Carolina is still considered to be one of the top teams in the ACC this season despite the loss and they are currently ranked fifth in the nation in the standings. Marcus Paige had 21 points against the UCLA Bruins in the last game for the Tar Heels and they now are 4-1 on the season and will take on Florida, who lost to Georgetown in an upset game.
Florida is ranked at number 18 and they will play against North Carolina before a matchup with the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday. The Gators are now 3-2 on the season and they are scoring 63 points per game and they have back to back games against ranked teams heading into the middle of the December schedule. The Tar Heels are scoring over 80 points per game and now they take on the Gators.
