Big Ten Championship 2014 Schedule: Ohio State Buckeyes and Wisconsin Badgers Football Game

Dec 01, 2014 08:31 PM EST

The Big Ten Championship football game schedule has the Ohio State Buckeyes and Wisconsin Badgers and the game is from Lucas Oil Stadium next Saturday and the TV channel coverage picks up on FOX with an 8:15 pm ET start time and will be streaming on the Fox Sports Go website as Urban Meyer leads his OSU team without JT Barrett after the QB suffered an injury against Michigan.

Ohio State comes in after a win against Michigan and they previously beat Indiana, but they lost JT Barrett to an injury and now face an uphill battle. Barrett was a Heisman candidate and he ends his season with 2834 yards and 34 touchdowns. The Buckeyes have won 10 straight games and they went undefeated in the Big Ten conference and now face the Badgers for the conference title.

The game on December 6 for the conference title is for the Amos Alonzo Stagg Championship Trophy and the matchup comes after the Buckeyes won the east and the Badgers clinched the west. The Badgers won against Minnesota in a matchup of top 20 teams to take the title and now Wisconsin has the chance for a big upset. The line on the game has changed with Barrett going down and some have flipped the prediction, but many see OSU as the superior team.

The Buckeyes come in as one of the top offenses in the nation, while the Buckeyes are ranked fourth in points against. The Badgers have Melvin Gordon coming in after a massive season and he could be the key to victory for Wisconsin. Gordon has over 2200 yards this season and Wisconsin is ranked third in the nation in rushing yards per game. The two teams played in 2013 and that saw Ohio State win by a touchdown and there is plenty on stake for both sides.

The Buckeyes have the chance to possibly make it into the college football playoff if they win on Saturday, while Wisconsin has the chance to play in the Rose Bowl. Ohio State could win and still end up in the Rose Bowl obviously, but they are hoping they can slide into the fourth spot in the playoff.
