Olympics 2012 Results: Medal Count After First Two Days, China and USA Biggest Winners

So far in the 2012 London Olympics, China and the USA are leading the world in medals. China has a total of 12 medals while the U.S. has won 11. 

China has won 6 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze. The U.S. has 3 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze. 

China has received great performances, Yang Sun raced in record breaking time and won the first gold medal as a male Chinese swimmer.

In third place, Italy has a total of 7; 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. The Republic of Korea is right behind them with 5 medals. They have 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. 

France has four and is in 5th place. They own 2 gold with 1 silver and bronze medal.
