Italia made fans feel their presence in Monday morning's Olympic Swimming Heats. They had three members of their national swim team finish in first place.
Dinko Jukic finished first in the 200m Butterfly heats. Federica Pellegrini finished first in the Women's 200m Freestyle and Shiwen Ye closed out the show finishing in first place in the Women's 200m Individual Medley.
In other news, Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin and Allison Schmitt will all be advancing to the semifinals in their respective events after qualifying in Monday's heats.
Phelps came in 5th place in the Men's 200m Butterfly event. Meanwhile, Franklin and Schmitt finished second and third in the Women's 200m Freestyle.
They will all be competing for Finals later on in the day.
