The NY Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans are playing on the NBA schedule on Tuesday and the game at 8 pm ET from the Smoothie King Center and it has Carmelo Anthony and company looking to bounce back from a loss against budding superstar Anthony Davis on the road.
The Knicks come into the game with four wins on the season and they just lost to the Trail Blazers and now will matchup on the road against the Pelicans. The San Antonio Spurs are next on the schedule away and that will be a tough matchup and the Knicks come in averaging 93 points per game. The team is allowing 99 points per game and they are ranked 12th in the league in scoring.
Carmelo Anthony is leading the team in scoring and the Knicks are one of the worst in the league with a 4-18 record. Anthony comes in after scoring 23 points in the loss against the Blazers, while Amar'e Stoudemire had 10 rebounds. The Knicks have lost eight games in a row and 10 of the last 11 and while some of those games were close, the team could just not find a way to win. The team won over the 76ers during that span, but they have dropped every game in December and now will hit the road.
The team has three games away from MSG and they will play against the Pelicans and the Spurs before the Celtics on Friday night. The team plays against the Raptors and Mavericks next and those will be at home before a primetime game with the Chicago Bulls on the road. Anthony Davis comes in averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Jrue Holiday is leading the Pelicans with six assists per game.
