Michael Phelps owns the most medals in Olympic history after the Men's U.S. Swimming Team captured gold in the 4x200m Freestyle on Tuesday at London. He now owns 19 medals.
Phelps had the opportunity of winning two gold medals and breaking the record in super stylish fashion, but he came in second place in the 200m Butterfly, an event which he has owned in recent years.
Chad le Clos from South Africa set the African Record with his 1:52.96 finish. Phelps was just .05 seconds behind the South African. Japan's Takeshi Matsuda came in close second after swimming a 1:53.21.
In women's action, Allison Schmitt continued impressing as she broke the Olympic Record in the Women's 200m Freestyle. She finished the race in 1:53.61. The second place winner was no where near as she finished close to two seconds after.
Camille Muffat from France took the silver and Bronte Barratt came in a close third place after beating Missy Franklin by .01 seconds.
