49ers Rumors: Vernon Davis Requests Trade if Jim Harbaugh Returns? Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree Free Agency Deals Unlikely as Carlos Hyde, Anquan Boldin Future

There are some unhappy people with the San Francisco 49ers and things are starting to get out to the media as a result. After getting upset by the Oakland Raiders, the team is watching their playoff chances fall out of their grips and players are not happy as a result. Colin Kaerpernick continues to remain coy about his struggles on the season while Vernon Davis and Frank Gore are admitting their frustrations with the offensive plan.

Davis told the media that he is a playmaker and wants to be treated as such. As a tight end, sometimes Davis functions as a blocker and the veteran is ok with that, but what he is not happy about is the lack of targets he is getting per game noting that he could be a difference maker in a different offensive plan.

"For me, it's all about coming here, showing up and doing what I have to do to contribute," Davis said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. "As far as not getting the ball, (I) leave it up to the offensive coordinator. It's his call. I look at myself as a playmaker. Not just someone who's blocking. I enjoy it. I would love to be involved a little bit more. I would love that. That would be amazing. But like I said, it's out of my control. All I can do is come here, show up and take care of my responsibilities."

Davis spent most of last offseason advocating for a new contract. He currently has another on his contract, set to earn $4 million next season before heading into free agency. Naturally he wants a new deal, but does he want to stay with San Francisco. NFL.com has Davis as a potential trade target in the offseason especially with the number of changes the 49ers are expected to undergo.

Davis is not the only one unhappy. Gore is not thrilled about his lack of involvement in the offseason as rookie Carlos Hyde continues to get more carries. The running back is a free agent at the end of the year and a return to San Francisco is unlikely at this point. Gore admitted to the San Francisco Chronicle that is doubting his future with the 49ers, but remains confident that he can still be an asset to any team.

Pair the issues with Vernon Davis and Frank Gore with the potential trade of Jim Harbaugh and the big money Michael Crabtree is requesting and the 49ers have a lot of decisions to make in the offseason.
