The U.S. Swimming team continued their strong performance in London as every single American that took that block in Wedneday's morning heats advanced to the evening semifinal competitions.
Jessica Hardy and Missy Franklin finished in 8th and 10th place, respectively, in the Women's 100m Freestyle. Yi Tang of China took first place after completing the race in 53.28.
Clary Tyler and Ryan Lochte finished in first and second place in the Men's 200m Backstroke. Clary beat out Lochte in a stroke that Lochte has perfected. Clary swam a 1:56.24, while Lochte finished .12 seconds behind.
Rebecca Soni took the first place finish in the Women's 200m Backstroke. Rikke Pedersen of Denmark finished in second place, meanwhile Satomi Suzuki took third with a 2:23.22.
First place in the 200m IM belonged to Laszlo Cseh of Hungary. He swam a 1:57.20 beating out Ryan Lochte, Kosuke Hagino and Michael Phelps for the first place spot in the heats.
The Australian women took first place in the 4x200m Free Relay, while the U.S. squad came in second place. Canada finished in third place.
