Men's Basketball takes a front seat at the 2012 Olympic Games from London on Thursday as Argentina faces Tunisia at 9 a.m. ET/2:30 p.m. With Group A standings tightening up, Argentina must get a win today to remain amongst the top three spots in the pool.
Tunasia practically needs a miracle to advance to the quarterfinals. They are currently 0-2 in two games played good for a total of two points.
They played a close match against Nigeria on the first day of Olympic action on Sunday, but found themselves on the losing end as Nigeria took the first game 60-56.
After playing a tight ballgame on Sunday, Tunisia had the luck of playing Team USA in the second game of the tournament. That game was a complete routing as the U.S. defeated Tunisia 110-63.
Tunisia is currently in last place of the Group A standings.
Argentina has played well in the Olympic qualifiers. They started on the right foot as they beat Lituania by 23 points, 102-79.
They struggled in their last game against France as they were on the losing end of this matchup. The French beat the Argentinians 71-64.
Argentina sits in fourth place in the Group A standings. Lithuania lost to France earlier today. With a win Argentina can get a tie for first place with France.
