The NY Giants and St. Louis Rams are playing on the Week 16 NFL schedule and the matchup from the Edward Jones Dome starts at 4:05 pm ET on FOX and the game is a big one for the Giants, as they are trying to save Tom Coughlin's future in New York and a victory here would be huge and likely would seal his fate for next season.
Eli Manning comes in playing well over the last two games and the Giants are now looking to win three in a row for the first time this season. Manning comes in after passing for 250 yards in the win against the Redskins on Sunday and he also had three TDs to Odell Beckham in the matchup. Beckham has been fantastic since coming into the starting lineup and he is the favorite right now to win the offensive rookie of the year award.
Beckham had the best game of his career with 143 yards and three touchdowns on 12 catches and he will be the key player against the Rams for the Giants. Rashad Jennings has been hobbled all season and now he could be limited or out and that will give another rookie the chance to step up, with Andre Williams likely leading at running back. The Giants rank 13th in the league in passing yards per game this season and they will finish off against the Eagles in Week 17.
The Giants have been the definition of streaky this season, as they opened with two losses before winning three games in a row before two more streaks. The team faltered in the second part of the season they lost seven games in a row before winning the last two and now they finish with the Rams and Eagles. Beckham is leading the team with 71 catches for 972 yards and nine touchdowns and he is the clear number one right now and when Victor Cruz comes back he will be number two over Rueben Randle, who has been inconsistent at times this season.
The Rams have a solid defense and that should have a great impact on the game and on the Giants rushing attack, which is already limited. The Rams have had a tough time throwing the ball with all their QB issues and they next will play against the Seahawks to finish the season. The Rams come in after a loss against the Cardinals and that was an all field goal game and now they matchup against the G-Men.
