Roger Federer will have the opportunity of being the first man in the Men's Singles event at the London 2012 Olympics. The same thing could be said about Juan Martin del Potro. Both players are getting ready to hit Centre Court. The action begins at 7 a.m. ET/12 p.m. GMT.
Federer played a very intriguing quarterfinals match to get to the semis as he faced American John Isner. Federer defeated Isner in two consecutive sets, but was playing from behind for more than half of the match.
Every time Federer won a game, Isner would take the one-game lead and prevent the Swiss from building any momentum.
The match went to a tiebreaker and Federer scored the last three to take the set and the match, punching a ticket into the semis.
Del Potro has quietly sneaked into semifinals. In case you have not been following the 8th ranked tennis player in the world, here is his journey throught the London 2012 Olympics.
