The Cincinnati Bearcats and Virginia Tech Hokies are playing live on the college football bowl schedule on Saturday and the matchup in the Military Bowl is from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis starting up at 1 pm ET on TV from ESPN and streaming online from the WatchESPN website.
Cincinnati comes into the game after finishing the season with a win against Houston and that gave them a share of the title in the American Athletic Conference. Gunner Kiel has been strong this season and he passed for 190 yards and two touchdowns in the 38-31 win over Houston and now the team is trying to keep things going against a solid VT team on Saturday.
Cincinnati won seven games in a row to earn a share of the AAC title and now they have the chance to make it eight in a row. Kiel has thrown for 3010 yards this season and they are 9-3 on the year and now can get to 10 wins after going 7-1 in the conference. The team won seven in a row after losing their first game on the conference schedule and they have not lost since back in October. Cincy lost three in a row before starting their streak and they come in ranked 26th in the nation in scoring with 35 points per game.
Virginia Tech comes in after a win against Virginia and they finished the season 6-6 after going 3-5 in the ACC conference. The team went 2-0 against the top 25 this season and their defense has been strong, allowing just 20 points per game to ranked 18th in the nation. The team has won two of the last three games, losing a shootout wink wink in double overtime 6-3 to Wake Forest. The team now has the chance to play against Cincy and they are looking to end on a high note.
In other action, the Arizona State Sun Devils and Duke Blue Devils are playing live on the college football bowl schedule on Saturday and the Hyundai Sun Bowl game from El Paso has ASU coming in ranked at number 15 and the matchup is on TV from CBS and starting up at 2 pm ET and this could be one of the best offensive matchups of the postseason.
