Jan 05, 2015 02:50 PM EST

AFC Wimbledon and the Liverpool Reds are playing live on the FA Cup Third Round schedule on Monday and the match from Cherry Red Records Stadium at Kingsmeadow is live at 2:55 pm ET from Fox Sports 1 and streaming online from the Fox Soccer 2Go website from FS1 as the Reds try and get things going in the Football Association tournament after falling out of the Champions League.

Liverpool comes into the third round tie looking to get things going and with Steven Gerrard likely coming in as a sub only, the team needs someone to step up. Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel will be back after a suspension, while Mario Balotelli will likely be out after dealing with an injury over New Year's Day. Balotelli missed the 2-2 draw for Liverpool against Leicester and now could be out for this matchup.

These two teams once played in the 1988 FA Cup final and Liverpool lost that matchup and now they have the chance to get a win here. The move will be into the fourth round as the Premier League teams enter and this could be a last run for Gerrard in this tournament with Liverpool. Based on reports, Gerrard will be done with Liverpool after this contract and he likely will be moving to the MLS when that happens.

Gerrard has been with the team for years and manager Brandan Rodgers said that he will continue playing the lineups the way he has done for this year. Rodgers has been vocal about using Gerrard when it's right and he said that he will continue to do what he thinks is best for the team. Liverpool comes into things at eighth on the English Premier League table and they are not playing as well as they did last season. The team was second on the table last year and at this time were in the top part of the standings.

Liverpool is not scoring as much since Luis Suarez left and now they are looking for players like Balotelli and Raheem Sterling to step up more. The team comes in after a draw on the schedule and before that they won at home against Swansea at Anfield. The team won over Burnley and pulled a draw with Arsenal before that and they also lost to Manchester United on the road at Old Trafford. Liverpool has some tough games coming up with Aston Villa, Everton and Tottenham as well as Southampton and they are looking for a win here as they head into that stretch.
