Real Madrid has signed Marco Reus away from Borussia Dortmund and reports have the star joining Cristiano Ronaldo and Los Blancos as their latest addition over the summer and this comes after heavy interest in the German player from teams like Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.
According to the Daily Star and other media reports, Reus will join the star-powered team in Spain over the summer and the deal will be for around £35 million. Neither team has confirmed the news yet, but all reports have the deal going down for Reus. Chelsea was very interested in trying to snag Reus and now Jose Mourinho and company may look at other options for the transfer window.
Reus had a strong season last year with 21 goals in German league games and Champions League games and he also added 12 assists. This season he has been slowed by some injuries, but nothing long term or serious. Reus should fit in well with Ronaldo and Madrid, as he has the skills to play in their system.
From the Daily Star: former coach of Bayern Munich and Madrid Jupp Heynckes: "I would recommend him to go to Madrid. The Bayern Munich already has four or five world class players before. Where to play Reus? If he really has a clause of € 25 million, all the great teams of Europe should do everything to attract services Reus.
