Arsenal has had an up and down start to the EPL season and with some tough matches coming up, Arsene Wenger and the Gunners may target Pedro and Dani Alves from Barcelona as well as Sami Khedira from Real Madrid at the January transfer window, as reports have the team looking at a $45 million push to get some stars over to the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, Alves and Khedira are players that can start talking to teams, as they have their contracts up after the season. Alves may not end up negotiating with teams according to the report, but the Gunners and Chelsea are interested. The Blues are also interested in Khedira and he could be a player that ends up moving down the line.

Arsenal is currently sixth in the EPL standings and they have a matchup coming with Stoke City and that will be on Sunday at the Emirates. The team comes in after a win against Hull City and a loss against Southampton and coming up they have games with Manchester City, Everton, Tottenham away as well as Monaco in the round of 16 in the Champions League.

According to Pro Soccer Talk, the Daily Express reports that Arsenal is looking to make some moves at the transfer window and the Gunners may go for Alves and Pedro for deals. Wenger wants the Gunners to make a push in the second half and this comes after the team finished in the top four last year after leading the league for the first half of the season. Alexis Sanchez has been huge for Arsenal this year and now Wenger wants to add more.

Alves has his contract coming up with the team and that has gotten him some attention from other Premier League clubs. Barcelona made a number of moves over the past year and with Neymar and Luis Suarez in the mix, Alves has not seen as much time. Alves is a smart move for Arsenal, while Pedro is still young at 27 and he has 88 goals in 258 appearances and would be another nice boost for the Gunners.
