NFL Playoffs Standings: New England Patriots Win Over Baltimore Ravens, Wait For Denver Broncos, Colts In AFC Championship

Jan 10, 2015 08:30 PM EST

The New England Patriots won over the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night in the divisional playoffs and now Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are into the AFC championship game and they await the winner of the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts game.

Tom Brady led the Patriots on a game winning drive in the fourth quarter and now they are into another championship game and they could have a rematch of last season. The team lost against the Broncos last year, but this time they will host the game and they also could end up hosting the Colts if Indy can pull it out. The Ravens had the lead going into the second quarter and into halftime, but the Patriots were able to tie things up in the third before winning it in the fourth.

The Patriots took the lead for the first time in the fourth quarter and that was enough for the team to win and now they await the winner of the Colts and the Broncos on Sunday. The Patriots outscored the Ravens 7-3 in the final frame and that was the difference in the game and Brady was able to get the team through despite the Ravens leading early. The Pats became the first team in postseason history to erase multiple 14-points deficits and now they take that momentum into the next round.

The Ravens had previously beaten the Patriots in Foxboro before and this gave the team some revenge after the Pats pulled it out. The Patriots tied the game on a great pass from Julian Edelman on a trick play that went 51 yards, which was the longest pass for a TD of any non-QB in playoffs history. Brady made some great plays down the stretch and now he is into another AFC championship game.
