The Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos are playing live on the NFL playoffs schedule on Sunday and the matchup in the divisional round of the playoffs starts at 4:40 pm ET on CBS as Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck matchup and this has Peyton facing his old Indy team and the quarterback that replaced him as division winners face off.
The Broncos come into the game after having a first round bye in the playoffs and they are the second seed in the AFC this year. The Patriots won and will host the championship game and they are waiting to see whether the Colts or Broncos advance into the next round. The teams matchup in Denver after playing there last season and now the Broncos are trying to have a rematch of the championship game last season.
Manning and Brady played during the season in New England and Brady won that game and now Manning is hoping to get another chance. The Broncos were killed in the Super Bowl last season against the Seahawks and right now Seattle is looking very strong heading into the NFC championship game. The Colts come in after winning over the Bengals in the wild card round and they have Andrew Luck playing well after tossing for 376 yards last week.
TY Hilton is the player to watch for the Colts apart from Luck, while Manning has as many weapons as anyone in the league. The Colts went 11-5 this season and were 6-0 against the AFC South and now they matchup against the high scoring Broncos. The Colts finished the season winning four of their final five games and the one loss was a bad defeat at the Cowboys that was a meaningless game for them in the standings.
The Broncos also finished the season with four wins in five games, losing to the Bengals on Monday night football in Week 16 as the only defeat in that stretch. The team is on a mission to get back to the Super Bowl and they are expecting their defense to step up in the playoffs. The Broncos have a refreshed rushing game with CJ Anderson and if the Colts can stop that from going, they have a chance to win this game.
