Johnny Manziel Trade Rumors: Cleveland Browns Draft Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota with Brian Hoyer Contract Re-Signed? Mike Pettine, Ray Farmer Doubt QB Future

There is no question that Johnny Manziel's future in Cleveland is 50/50 at best. It is not a good sign with a team's general manager says they have all options on the table when it comes to finding the perfect starting quarterback for the Browns. The team is ready to find their long-term star instead of short-term subs. Right now, Manziel is simply a sub and it has yet to be determined exactly what his NFL outlook will be. With all options also including a potential trade, could Manziel be out faster than most think?

The Browns have two first-round draft picks which allows them to have more options than most teams with the quarterback position. Cleveland has the No. 12 pick along with the No. 19 pick acquired in the trade last year with the Buffalo Bills. That means if the Browns wanted to try and get another rookie quarterback, they could easily do so in the first round without wasting their entire draft. That does not help Manziel.

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns are very open to the idea of packaging their two first-round picks for the a top-two pick in order to draft either Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston. General manager Ray Farmer has already told the media that the Browns are open to drafting a quarterback in the first round if they feel that player can truly help them win games. If the Browns pull the trigger on the move, they could very easily trade Manziel for another draft pick in a middle round to make up for the loss of the second first-round pick. Will it happen? It depends on the market for Manziel which most predict is small given his off-the-field issues.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns are committed to giving Manziel another chance in 2015, but that does not mean they are not still eyeing big quarterback moves. A lot depends on who is hired for the offensive coordinator position. If the person feels they can win with Manziel, then the rookie stays. If they do not, Brian Hoyer will likely get re-signed and a rookie will be drafted. Cleveland has been linked to both Greg Roman and Chan Gailey for the job.
