All eyes will be on world No.2 Robbie Grabarz who will compete at 1:50 p.m. in the men's high jump final after dominating the qualifying round on Monday.
He will be going for gold this afternoon in the final, in which he will attempt to jump at least his personal best of 2.36metres.
He jumped straight to the top of the qualifying table after he was the only athlete to faultlessly clear all three jumps at 2.21metres, 2.26metres and 2.29metres at the Olympic Stadium, pushing Russia's Ivan Ukhov to second place.
After his performance on Monday, he took to twitter, and said: "Qualified in first place. Calm again now before Tuesdays final. Thanks for the support. #TakeTheStage."
Grabarz will now hope to follow the footsteps of Team GB's Greg Rutherford who became the first Briton in nearly 50 years to win Olympic gold in the long jump on Saturday night.
World No.1 Jesse Williams, from the United States, qualified in third place yesterday after taking two attempts to clear the 2.29 metre bar.
He nearly didn't qualify for the Games after coming fourth in the US Olympic trials on his home track in Eugene, Oregon, only making the team because the third-placed athlete, Nick Ross, had not jumped the 'A' qualifying standard.
