The Wizards come in averaging 99 points per game and they are ranked fifth in the league in points allowed per game. The team is fourth in assists and in the top half of the league in rebounding. The Wizards have the chance to be a force in the playoffs and they come in after making the postseason last year to break a long streak. Wall has developed into one of the best young guards in the league and the Wizards have put together a deep team around him.
Wall is leading the Wizards in scoring and assists per game, while Marcin Gortat is tops in rebounding. The Nets have Joe Johnson leading the way in scoring, while Williams is tops in assists. The Wizards have been excellent overall on defense and now they have some momentum after beating the Bulls, as they are also one of the top teams in the eastern conference this season. Wall is leading the league in assists per game and he is putting up career highs across the board this season.
The Nets come into the game after a loss against the Grizzlies and they will have the Wizards at home after the matchup in DC. Mason Plumlee had 15 points and nine rebounds to lead the Nets and he has been one of the most consistent players for the team this season.
The Nets have been shopping players in trades and they nearly pulled off a deal with Brook Lopez and the Thunder, but that hasn't happened yet. The team has also shopped Johnson and Williams and those deals could happen close to the NBA trade deadline. The Nets are in the mix in the east, but they are under .500 and this would be a big win for the team.
