Russia and Lithuania will square off in the first game of the Men's Basketball quarterfinals. The action from London begins at 9 a.m. ET/2 p.m. GMT.
Russia comes in as the first place finisher in the Men's Group B pool, meanwhile Lithuania barely got in after grabbing the fourth and last spot in the quarterfinals.
Lithuania totaled seven points in the five matches played during the first round qualifiers. They won two games and lost three.
In their three loses, Lithuania played Argentina, USA and France. They lost to Argentinia 102-79, gave Team USA a heart attack even though they lost 99-94 and lost to France 82-74.
In their two wins, they defeated Nigeria 72-53 and in the last day of qualifiers, Lithuania defeated Tunisia 76-63.
Group B's Russia was perfect in the qualifers until they faced Australia's surprising club. Russia played in a few close games in the qualifiers and the final one finally got the best of them.
The Russians lost to an Australian team that was 2-2 at the time. The final score of that game wa 82-80 in favor of Australia.
In their other close matches, Russia defeated Spain 77-74 and they defeated Brazil by one point, 75-74.
Despite these close matches, Russia started out on fire against Great Britain and China. They won those games 95-75 and 73-54 respectively.
