The Seattle Seahawks are into the Super Bowl after winning over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game, but they have some banged up players in the secondary with Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas coming down with injuries and both players will have MRIs this week, but it's likely they play in the Super Bowl against the Patriots.
Sherman was noticeably injured in the game against the Packers, while Thomas had to leave the game with his injury. Seattle was able to win despite the injuries and according to ESPN.com it's likely that both players will be healthy enough to play in the Super Bowl, as they have two weeks to recover and neither injury is considered serious. Sherman dealt with an elbow issue during the game after suffering it in the fourth quarter, while Thomas hurt his shoulder in the first half of the game.
Sherman and Thomas are key parts to the top ranked Seattle secondary and Sherman played through the pain, holding his arm in a prone position while covering receivers at the end of the game. Sherman was injured on a play after tackling James Starks on the sidelines and hitting Kam Chancellor and James Starks, hitting his elbow in the process. Sherman said he had no issues in coverage and that while he dealt with pain, he will be ready for the Super Bowl.
"We got tape for the warriors," Sherman said, according to ESPN.com. "I guarantee you in our next game, we will all be out there."
