Do not miss the action of the London 2012 Olympics as South Korea takes on the United States at 9 a.m. ET/2 p.m. GMT as one team will head into the gold medal match and the other will have to settle for the bronze match.
Both teams, of course, are coming off of wins in the quarterfinals round. S. Korea dismissed Italy in four sets 18-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-18. While the U.S. played against the Dominican Republic and won in three straight sets 25-14, 25-21, 25-22.
Despite the USA's victory over the Dominican team, they struggled to put the second and third sets away in early opportunities. The Dominican team always looked like they had a chance to get back in it as the Americans lacked execution towards the latter stages of the sets.
With the victory over the Dominican Republic, the U.S. maintained a perfect 6-0 record during the London Olympics.
S. Korea had to keep their focus despite losing the first set. They came off of a stretch where they lost two games in a row, barely making it to the quarterfinals as they sported a 2-3 record.
The U.S. and Korea have already faced each other once in the Olympics and the U.S. won in four sets 25-19, 25-17, 25-20, 25-21.
The set they lost against the Koreans was only one of two sets the U.S. has dropped in 19 played.
