The Wisconsin Badgers and Michigan Wolverines are playing on the Big Ten college basketball schedule on Saturday night and the conference matchup is live from the Crisler Center as number six Wisconsin takes on the Wolverines and the game from ESPN starts at 7 pm ET and is streaming online from the WatchESPN website.
Wisconsin comes into the game ranked in the top 10 in the nation and they are the favorites in the Big Ten this year. Michigan comes in 5-2 on the season in the conference and Wisconsin is 5-1 and they have a player of the year candidate in Frank Kaminsky, who is coming off of a great game against Iowa. The Badgers come in after a win against Iowa when they were ranked at number 25 and that was at home and they will next play the team on the road after the matchup with Wisconsin.
Kaminsky comes in after putting up 11 rebounds and six assists to lead the Badgers and he had a double-double with 13 points. Wisconsin comes in ranked in the top 20 in field goal percentage and in the top 50 in points per game and they have been one of the best defensive teams in the conference. The team is averaging 54 points per game this season and they are 17-2 overall after going 10 of 11 in their latest stretch.
The team is the highest ranked among the conference teams and they have Maryland, Iowa and Indiana also ranked in the Big Ten. Kaminsky is leading the team in scoring with 16.9 points and he is also tops in rebounds and second in assists on the Badgers. Michigan comes into the game after a win against Rutgers and they will matchup with Nebraska next on the schedule and they have had an up and down season this year.
The team has been off to a solid start in the conference and they have won two in a row after losing to Ohio State. The Wolverines are averaging 64 points per game and they are 12-7 overall this season and coming up on the schedule includes games against Michigan State, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois and Maryland.
