NY Knicks Rumors: Pablo Prigioni, Jose Calderon Traded After Kemba Walker, Brandon Jennings Injuries? Goran Dragic, Reggie Jackson Free Agency Targets

As of now, the roster for the New York Knicks might be a bit unrecognizable. Players like Langston Galloway and Lou Amundson are playing significant minutes for New York while players like Amar'e Stoudemire and Andre Bargnani struggle to make an impact. Phil Jackson is doing everything he possibly can to get a few last-minute trades in before the league deadline which means the players on the court might be even more unknown than they already are.

Jackson has been trying to seek anymore trades he can find to help with salary and luxury tax issues. He scored deals for JR Smith and Iman Shumpert and now either Jose Calderon or Pablo Prigioni could be next to go thanks to a rash of point guard injuries in the league. Several teams on the brink of the postseason are in need of help at the position and could call up the Knicks to assist.

The Charlotte Hornets are about to be aggressive in finding help at the point guard spot. The team currently occupies the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference, but have lost their best player as Kemba Walker went down with a knee injury. The team confirmed that Walker suffered a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee and could miss the rest of the regular season. That leaves the team incredibly short-handed entering the back-half of the year.

"He's been by far our best player," head coach Steve Clifford said, via ESPN.com. "You see it every year, every team. The Cavs without Lebron James. Oklahoma City without Kevin Durant...It always starts at the top of your roster and that's why most teams that are winning have a superstar. He's playing at a real high level."

The Detroit Pistons are in the same boat siting a spot out of the playoffs. The team recently lost Brandon Jennings to a torn Achilles tendon. The point guard was leading the team at the time of the injury and now the Pistons must avoid dropping off once again as they are incredibly short-handed at the position. ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting the Pistons are interest in Prigioni over Calderon for help after Jennings went down.

Calderon is a tough trade to make due to his current salary which most teams are likely not aiming to pick up at this point in the season. Prigioni contract is easier to handle and while his stats are not impressive this season due to a lack of playing time, many believe a change in teams could help.
