Apparently Dwight Howard was too entertained by the Olympics to make any noise in the past two weeks, but the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers have resumed talks as they try to move the All-Star center out of Florida. The Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers have entered talks with Orlando in a possible four-team trade.
Word has it that the Lakers would trade Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard. Bynum would go to the Sixers and Gasol would go to the Magic. The Magic then get Arron Afflalo from the Nuggets. In return, the Lakers would get Al Harrington from the Nuggets.
The Magic prefer to land Gasol because they fear the Andrew Bynum might turn into another Dwight Howard as he becomes a free agent in 2013. Getting Gasol allow the Magic to be flexible if in case the Magic do not want to keep him.
This news goes against what Kobe had said prior to the beginning of the Olympic action in London. Kobe had twitted that as long as he was a Laker, Gasol would be a member of the team.
Hmm?
Everybody would bet their last penny that Kobe would receive Howard in a deal with arms open even if included close teammate and friend Pau Gasol.
The Dwightmare continues so far and no word has been received about an official trade going down. All we know is that the Dwight Saga has resurrected.
