The Men's Indoor volleyball tournament will continue on Friday as the Bulgaria and Russia will hook up in the semifinal round at the 2012 London Olympics. The winner of this match will proceed to the final round. The action sets off at 10 a.m. ET/2 p.m. GMT.
Both teams come into the tournament having suffered only one loss in all their matches.
Bulgaria earned first place in Group A, while Russia, despite having a 4-1 record as well, finished in third place in Group B.
Russia has greater momentum going into the match. Their last and only loss came against Brazil, an 0-3 defeat, in their second game of the Olympics' first round. Since then, they only dropped two sets shutting out Tunisia, Serbia and Poland 3-0 after winning in three straight sets. They lost two sets against the USA Men' team, but won the match 3-2.
Bulgaria started the tournament with a three-game winning streak. They easily defeated Great Britain and Australia 3-0. They sandwiched in a 3-1 victory over Poland.
Then they hit a bump as they were beaten by the Argentinians 1-3, but Bulgaria bounced back with a strong performance against Italy, beating them in three straight sets. Germany was Bulgaria's most recent victim as they were shutout 3-0.
