The Olympic football tournament draws to a close Saturday as Brazil battles Mexico for the gold medal at Wembley Stadium in London, with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m. local time (10 a.m. ET in the United States).
The game will be broadcast live in the U.S. on the NBC Sports network, and streamed live online through NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Olympics Live Extra app on mobile devices. Viewers watching online will have the option of watching a video stream without commentary or the live NBCSN simulcast.
Mexico will be without its leading goal-scorer in the tournament, as Tottenham Hotspur star Giovani dos Santos will sit out with a hamstring injury. Dos Santos was pulled from the pitch at halftime during Mexico's 3-1 win over Japan in the semifinals. Brazil, meanwhile, will look to capture the gold with an array of stars - including Neymar, Leandro Damiao, Oscar and Sandro - that are expected to form the core of Brazil's team for the 2014 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.
Neither team has ever captured an Olympic gold medal in football. Brazil's best finishes were a pair of silver medals in 1984 and 1988, while Mexico took fourth place in 1968 in Mexico City, losing the bronze medal match to Japan, 2-0.
