The Seattle Seahawks Legion of Boom secondary was banged up in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots and now safety Earl Thomas will be undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum, while cornerback Richard Sherman could also be facing surgery and this comes after Kam Chancellor played in the championship with an MCL injury.
According to ESPN.com, Thomas will undergo surgery on his shoulder after dealing with a fully torn labrum on his left side and this follows a separated shoulder injury he suffered against the Green Bay Packers. Thomas wore a brace in the Super Bowl to help protect his shoulder and ESPN.com reports that Thomas will be healthy for training camp and is not expected to miss any team activities.
Sherman reportedly needed Tommy John surgery, but head coach Pete Carroll said that he would not be undergoing the procedure. Sherman is expected to have surgery after injuring his arm in the NFC championship game and Kam Chancellor also may have a procedure in the offseason.
