The Closing Ceremony at the 2012 London Olympics has commenced. The theme will be "A Symphony of British Music."
Some of the most popular hits of the last 50 years will be played or performed in this ceremony. You can expect the likes of The Beatles, Elton John, The Rollingstones and Queen, to be at the show.
It will be exclusively British artists, hence, the time of the theme.
David Arnold is the creative producer behind the theme and preparation that has taken place to get the show on the road.
Arnold is a critically acclaimed, award winning music director. He is responsible for the music in numerous blockbuster films, including five James Bonds films, Independence Day, Shaft and The Chronicles of Narnia.
After the ceremonies, it has been rumored that parties will be taking place all around the city of London.
There will be a closing-night concert in London's Hyde Park. Bands like Blue, New Order, and The Specials are expected to perform at this event. It is not comparable to the yacht party that has been rumored to take place following the ceremony, but it will be a great place for the citizens of London to continue celebrating after their city did an amazing job of hosting the 2012 Olympics.
