The Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs are playing live on the NBA schedule on Friday night and the matchup from ESPN and the WatchESPN website is streaming online at 9:30 pm ET as Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker play a rematch of the finals from last year and this will be from the AT&T Center and hopefully the air conditioning won't falter this time.
Miami comes into the game after a loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves and they will next play against the NY Knicks on the road after playing the Spurs. The team is fourth in the southeast division at 21-28 and they are looking to turn things around and now they have the Spurs on the road. Hassan Whiteside has been playing well for Miami and he comes in after going for 24 points and 20 rebounds against the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Miami is ranked 29th in the league in points per game and second in points allowed and they are also in the bottom of the league in rebounds per game. The Spurs come in at fourth in the southwest at 31-18 and that says it all about the east and west standings and they comes in after a win against the Magic. The team next plays on the road after matching up with Miami and that will be in Toronto against the Raptors on Sunday.
The Spurs come in averaging over 101 points per contest and they are ranked in the top 10 in defense at eighth in points allowed per game. The team is fifth in rebounds per game and Tim Duncan comes in after putting up 26 points and 10 rebounds against the Magic, while Manu Ginobili had 10 assists. The matchup is not as big of a rematch since LeBron James is gone from Miami, but D-Wade and Chris Bosh are still there and this would be a nice win for the team to get after losing last year to the Spurs in the finals.
