The Dallas Cowboys face the Oakland Raiders in O.Co Coliseum at 8 p.m. ET/5p.m. PT in Monday Night Football. It will be the first preseason games in the 2012 year for both teams. In case you cannot witness the action live, we will have a live blog going with all the updates and scores of the action.
The Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 2012 campaign. They were 8-8 in the regular season and had the opportunity of killing the New York Giants' dreams of a playoff spot twice during the season.
They went down in the final game 31-14 and quickly lost hope as they fell to the Giants 21-0 by the end of the second quarter. They were lit up by Eli Manning, Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks. They lost their Week 14 matchup in a thriller 37-34 as Jason Pierre-Paul blocked a field goal at the end of regulation.
Jerry Jones promised that the would kick the Giants' butt this season and they will have a chance to prove what they have prepared for the 2012-2013 season.
The Raiders made a playoff push at the end of the season as they also finished the season 8-8. The Denver Broncos advanced to the playoffs while the Raiders were sent packing.
Carson Palmer started 9 of the 10 games he played in 2011 and changed the look of the team as they possessed a quarterback they could trust and who had playoff experience.
The Broncos added Peyton Manning, making them the automatic favorite in the AFC West, but the Raiders will still fight with hopes of getting into the playoffs once again.
