Chelsea started off their 2012-2013 campaign on the right foot. They won their first match of Barclay's Premier League after defeating Wigan 2-0 on Sunday.
The Blues received two goals for the victory. Branislav Ivanovic put them on the board just before the two minute mark. He lead a breakaway after receiving an assist from Eden Hazard.
By the 5th minute, Chelsea already had their 2-0 lead.
Hazard chipped in with a score as he got Chelsea's second goal on a penalty kick. He was challenged unfairly by Wigan's Ivan Ramis, thus receiving the free kick.
He sneaked the ball right underneath the right side of a laid out Wigan's goalkeeper, Ali Al Habsi.
Chelsea is one of six teams in the league with a win in their first game and they won one of the top spots in the league.
