The English Premiere League 2011 champions Manchester City Citizens get ready to take the field for the first time. They will play their first match of the 2012-2013 season on Sunday as they are facing Southampton.

Man City had a dominant 2011 campaign, taking the first-place spot and the cup. They defeated the Queens Park Rangers in dramatic fashion to be crowned as Barclay's champion.

The Citizens went 26-5-5 racking up 83 points, which had them tied with Manchester United at the top of the league.

Southampton did not play in the league last season. They were promoted to play in this new season and will immediately face a tough challenger.
