Miami Dolphins Rumors: Jordan Cameron Signed After Charles Clay, Buffalo Bills Deal? Mike Wallace Not Released as DeMarco Murray, CJ Spiller Options for Lamar MIller

The Miami Dolphins made a bold move at the start of free agency to release both Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson as salary cap casualties. Looking to be big spenders in free agency, they gave up two of their reliable offensive targets in order to do so. The result was a massive contract to Ndamukong Suh which helps the defense, but there are still major holes on offense that could be getting bigger.

The Dolphins put a transition tag on Charles Clay, expecting him to return at tight end and not go anywhere. However, the Buffalo Bills have different plans. According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Bills are preparing their offer sheet for Clay that will make the Dolphins struggle to match it. The Bills are very interested in building up their offensive pieces and head coach Rex Ryan is very aware of just how tough a matchup Clay can be with his versatility. Having LeSean McCoy, Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods and Clay on the offense would certainly give the Bills some room to work with.

The departure of Clay could be trouble for the Dolphins. They must try and replace the tight end while adding another receiver and running back to the offense. According to NFL.com, the Dolphins are bringing in Jordan Cameron for a visit. Cameron is starting to get attention on the market, but his injury history and inconsistencies make his value hard to pin point. The tight end has had his breakout moments, but concussions and shoulder injuries have hurt his consistency. The Dolphins need a tight end and he might be the best option, but also might not come cheap.

All of these moves signify that Mike Wallace is not going anywhere. At this point, Miami cannot afford to lose the wide receiver. The Miami Herald is reporting that despite the contract for Suh and the deal coming for Ryan Tannehill, Wallace must stay put or else the offense could be at an even bigger stall than before. Losing clay and Wallace means it is up to Jarvis Landry to take hold of the unit.

The Dolphins also need to look at running backs if Knowshon Moreno is not coming around. They cannot afford to sign CJ Spiller or DeMarco Murray, making options limited.
