The LA Lakers and Golden State Warriors are playing live on the NBA schedule on Monday and the matchup at ORACLE Arena and the game on ESPN starts up at 10:30 pm ET and has Los Angeles visiting the Bay Area for a matchup with the best team in the west as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson try and keep it going into the postseason.
The Lakers come into the game after a close loss against the Atlanta Hawks and they will next play against the Utah Jazz on the schedule. The Lakers come in with 17 wins and they are last in the Pacific division, while Golden State has 52 wins and is first in the division. The Lakers are ranked 28th in points allowed and will be heading into the lottery, while the Warriors are considered a possible finals team.
The Warriors come into the game after a huge win against the Knicks and they will next play against the Hawks on Wednesday. Thompson led the way with 27 points against the Knicks, while Curry had 11 assists and Draymond Green had seven rebounds. The Warriors are ranked first in points per game this season and in assists per game and they are looking like the best team in the west this year.
The Warriors really don't lose at home and this season they have only fallen twice and that likely means another loss for the Lakers. The Warriors are home for six games and they started off with a big win against the Knicks and that was the eighth straight win for the team. The Warriors have a busy schedule this week and they play a stretch of five games in eight days. Steve Kerr rested his starters for the game against the Nuggets and Thompson comes in averaging 25 points over the last six games.
