Monaco and the Arsenal Gunners are playing live on the UEFA Champions League schedule for the Round of 16 and the match is from Stade Louis II and will be on TV from Fox Sports 1 and streaming online from the Fox Soccer 2Go website and things kick off around 3:45 PM ET and Arsene Wenger's side must score for any chance of advancing.
Arsenal suffered an embarrassing defeat at home in the first leg of this series and now they have to make things happen after going down 3-1 at the Emirates. The team now has to score for any chance of advancing and they come in after getting a win at home in the EPL against West Ham. The first match saw the team get beaten at home in all phases and now Wenger says his team has to show what they are made of.
Arsenal will be without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshire, but the team has Mikel Arteta back and they need everyone to step up. The comeback is not impossible and Wenger said that the team has experience and knows what they have to do for the chance to win. The team would have to pull some history, as no team has ever done what they are trying to do and this comes after the bad loss ay the Emirates. Giving up one goal in this match likely will end it and they have to score at least three goals to get it done.
Olivier Giroud has had his struggles of late, but Wenger feels that he can be a weapon on Tuesday and this comes after he had six shots in the first leg, but missed the target on all of them. Arsenal is currently third on the EPL standings and that puts them in position to be in the Champions League next year, but they have to keep playing well. The table is tight behind them and there are a number of teams that could be in reach of the top four depending on how things play out over the next few weeks.
Arsenal comes into the match with Monaco after winning away at Manchester United last week at Old Trafford and that was in the FA Cup quarterfinal. The team may end up out of the UCL, but they are still alive for that and they could be in the mix for the EPL title, although Chelsea appears to have that locked in. Coming up the team will host Chelsea at the Emirates and the team also has games with Liverpool and Swansea City on the schedule.
