Aug 24, 2012 05:35 PM EDT

The Super Bowl Champion New York Giants get ready to host the Chicago Bears on Friday night in both team's third NFL 2012 preseason game.

The Giants (1-1) are coming off a dominating 26-3 victory over the New York Jets. Meanwhile the Bears (1-1) barely escaped with a win against the Washington Redskins on Saturday.

The Bears held a 30-10 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Redskins scored three consecutive touchdowns as rookie Kirk Cousins went 18/23 for 264 yards and three touchdowns in a matter of minutes.

The Redskins lost the lead on a Robbie Gould 57-yard field goald with just minutes remaining in the game. Gould finished the game with 4 FG's accounting for 15 of the Bears' 33 points as he also converted three extra points.

The Giants did it with both offense and defense last Saturday. They took an early 13-point lead on a pick-six that was returned for 77-yards by rookie Jayron Hosley.

Similar to Gould's night , Lawrence Tynes was responsible for a lot of the points the offense put up as he had four field goals in the night.

Quarterback Ryan Perrilloux added a score late in the game to give the Giants a definitive 26-3 victory.

The game kicksoff at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT today. For TV coverage, tune into CBS.
