NY Jets Rumors: Jeremy Kerley Released if Denarius Moore, Hakeem Nicks Signed After Percy Harvin Release? Geno Smith Favors Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker

The New York Jets have been trying to make as many upgrades as possible in order to recover from the last few seasons of struggles. The team has made big moves in the secondary to acquire stars while trading for wide receivers in free agency. Todd Bowles is beginning to truly make his mark on the team, but the Jets are not done just yet as a few more offensive weapons pay a visit.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jets brought in former Oakland Raiders receiver Denarius Moore for a visit with the team. Schefter writes that the Jets are not done at looking at receivers to add to the mix in order to help either Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback. Moore is a free agent and the Raiders have already denied intentions to bring him back in 2015. Moore is young and while he has not had a tone of success in his short career, but he has also not had a quarterback to throw to him. The Jets are possibly hoping to tap into some hidden potential.

The addition of Moore would be another move at the receiver position for the Jets. Right now, New York has Eric Decker and Jeremy Kerley returning while they traded for Brandon Marshall at the start of the offseason. That is a decent rotation, but Kerley is not the most reliable receiver and the Jets know they need to build up around him in order to truly have a great core group of receivers to work with. The team could also target cheap veterans like Greg Jennings and Reggie Wayne while also looking at someone like Hakeem Nicks who is still hanging around on the market.

The one position the Jets have really not taken a look at is the running back spot. The team was rumored to be looking at CJ Spiller at the running back position after the release of Chris Johnson, but the Saints won that race. The Jets could be looking to tap into the deep running back class in the draft. They could easily acquire Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon or TJ Yeldon in the second or third round to have a young running back to develop.
