The team beat Newcastle in the reverse fixture of this series and the team has only had one win since that against Burnely and this is chance to get things going in the right direction. The Black Cats have scored just one goal over the last six EPL games and that puts pressure on them for Sunday as well. Newcastle comes into the game having lost four of the last five league matchups.
The team has only had five points away in the last nine matchups on the road and they have to find a way to get things going in the right direction. Newcastle comes in after a loss at home against Arsenal and they previously also lost to Everton and Man United, which was also at home. The team was beaten bad by Man City with a 5-0 game and the team draw with Crystal and Stoke before that.
