Germany advance to the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup Final on Tuesday after defeating the Japanese soccer club 3-0. Germany is now scheduled to play the USA in the last match of the tournament.

It did not take Germany a long time to get active on offense. All of their goals came within the first 20 minutes as they went on a relentless attack right from the first whistle.

One minute into the match, Germany trapped a Japanese player at midfield and ran a breakaway. Melanie Leupolz was one-on-one with Japanese goalkeeper Sakiko Ikeda, with a Japanese player trailing behind her. She kicked the ball to the left and got it past Ikeda who was lunging the other way and off-balance.

For the second score, Dzsenifer Marozsan added a goal in minute 13 floating one over the head of Ikeda. It was now 2-0 Germany.

Just six minutes later, however, Lena Lotzen added the third and final goal of the match with a header that went over an outstretched Ikeda.

Japan had chances to score, but they could not execute properly and get the ball in the net.

With the victory, Germany continues to roll on their shutouts. They have yet to allow a goal after play five matches at the 2021 FIFA World Cup in Japan.

They now face their Group D foe, USA, a team which they beat 3-0 in the first round of matches.
