New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays ESPN Live Stream: Teams Play at 7 p.m., Separated By Only 2.5 Games

Sep 04, 2012 06:27 PM EDT

The question roaming around baseball right now is "Are the Yankees panicking?" The team held a 10-game lead not too long again, but are 4-9 in their last 13 games as the Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles are chasing and have remained hot in the American League East. The Yankees get set to play the second game of their series against the Rays tonight at 7 p.m. ET.

The Rays are just 2.5 games behind the Yankees after their 4-3 win over the Bronx Bombers last night in Tropicana Field.

After the Yankees controlled the East for the last few months, they are beginning to slip. Captain Derek Jeter has stated that he is not nervous or worried. Many believe if Jeter can keep his cool then the team will keep their cool.

For tonight, the pitching matchups are Freddy Garcia for the Yanks and Alex Cobb for the Rays. The 24-year-old right hander is 8-8 so far in the year. The Rays are undefeated in his last six starts as he has placed them in a position to win and the team has backed the young starter with enough runs.

The Yankees' Garcia made decent starts in August, winning 3 of 5 starts and surrendering no more than 2 runs in four of those starts.
