Jordan Spieth won the Masters on Sunday after shooting a 2-under 70 to finish ahead of Justin Rose and Phil Mickelson for his first major win and it came after he finished in second place last year at Augusta National and he tied a scoring record at the Masters with an 18-under for the tournament.
Spieth led all weekend and leading into the third round he had put up a record score through 18 holes at Augusta National. Spieth had a record amount of birdies in the Masters, besting the 25 that Phil Mickelson put up in 2001.
Spieth put up record numbers throughout the tournament and according to CBS Sports, Spieth set the 54-hole record, had the most birdies ever with 28 and he also set the 36-hole record.
